What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect and process names and contact details. Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  1. To communicate with you in relation to forensic science issues.
  2. In relation to contract(s) or potential contract(s).

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  1. When your details are included in correspondence from third parties (e.g. in email copy lists).
  2. When your details are passed on by a third party making an introduction.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting enquiries@tullyforensicscience.com
  2. We have a contractual obligation.
  3. We have a legal obligation.

  2. Maintain company records concerning contracts or potential contracts.

How we store your information

Your information is securely stored electronically using secure cloud storage. We only retain paper records if they are required (e.g. if a wet signature is required). Any paper records are held securely at our registered address.

If you have given your consent for us to retain your contact details we will retain the information for as long as we may need to contact you. Where we retain your contact details for legitimate interest purposes, we will review after 2 years and delete all records of those with whom we have not been in contact during that period. We will then dispose your information by deleting it from the cloud location where it is stored. Any paper records are disposed of by shredding to DIN 4 standards.
